Bengtsson spins a single carbon-fibre into a slender, mesh-like layer that weaves a cylindrical shape. The flexibility of the mesh moulds to the body as it cradles the sitter in the same comfort that would be afforded by a sprung base. In his quest for new forms, Bengtsson appears to have invented a direction so promising that it could portend the furniture of the future.
