Assembled with mass produced pieces, this is a “phone stool” that translates into sitting while on one’s feet. The seat, a leather bike saddle, is set on a hemispherical cast iron base (33 cm diameter) offering dynamic balance; the height of the seat can be regulated on the stem, a pink steel tube. The total height of the stool is 71 cm and can be extended. One can only grasp the idea behind this design object by remembering that in the Fifties most houses had wall phones, so the person using it was forced to stand.
